22/5/2015 In the words of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons - oh what a night! Congratulations to our worthy winners Hursty and Laura. Gerard and Anna were runners up with Dan and Julia in third place. Well done to all our brilliant contestants for their contribition to a memorable evening. Head judge Lord Digby Jones said the standard of competition was higher than last year, a sentiment which the 700 strong audience will agree with! Many thanks to all our event partners and benefactors for their support.

15/1/2015 Our latest press release has received excellent coverage in the print and online versions of the Worcester News and on the Droitwich Spa Advertiser. Thanks to the local media for its continued support. The release reads as follows:

Organisers of charity dance extravaganza Strictly Worcestershire are confident it will be a sell-out with more than 620 tickets already sold.
After a stunning debut in 2014, the sophisticated fund-raiser will return to the Chateau Impney in Droitwich Spa on Thursday, May 21. Profits will be split between the Worcestershire Breast Unit Campaign and Ladies Fighting Breast Cancer.
The contestant line-up is now complete with eight couples poised to battle it out for the glitterball trophy. Recent recruits are former Worcestershire Ambassadors chairman Granville Orange and Julie Worsfold; Wyre Forest based GPs Dr Simon and Dr Sally Rumley; Bekki Normoyle, director of Angel Hands Childcare and Adrian Harker, supply development controller of Worcester Bosch Logistics, and Premier Places director Julia Williams and Dan Lewis, joint owner of DCL Window Cleaning.  
They’ll be joining Free Radio DJ Hursty and recruitment consultant Laura Bligh of Peach Recruitment; Dave and Sue Connellan, directors of Worcester's Mobile Mechanic; Nick Sandy, director of accountants Richards Sandy Partnership, and his wife Julia, tax and trusts manager with law firm Thursfields.
Presenters on the night will be BBC Hereford and Worcester broadcaster Andrew Easton and Caron Steele, who won last year’s competition with husband Mark.  
Teresa Green, editorial director of event media partners Chris Green Media, said: “There are less than 100 tickets remaining so we’re urging anyone who wishes to come along to book as soon as possible.”     
Strictly Worcestershire 2015 is being supported by Sanctuary Group, one of the UK’s leading providers of housing, care and community services, and other event partners include Project Events and Nexus Creative. 

17/12/2015 Where did the year go?? Strictly Worcestershire is now signing off until January. The 2015 project is primed and ready, ticket sales are now at 635 and counting and in the New Year we shall hope to gather the support of various further benefactors to deliver profile and sponsorship. #SW2 is a phenomenon and we have the incredible Worcestershire social and corporate fraternity to thank. 9/12/2014 Announcing contestant couple number nine - the returning Julia Williams of Premier Places and the mercurial Dan Lewis.With 600 tickets sold and counting, this is now officially the biggest corporate charity show in Worcestershire ever. Many thanks for your support!

2/12/2014 We are very excited to introduce Strictly Worcestershire 2015 contestant couple number eight - Dr Simon and Dr Sally Rumley.

Both GPs in the north of our county, Simon is chair of the Wyre Forest NHS CCG with responsibility for directing an annual budget of £100m. Sally is both a hugely regarded GP and a GP appraiser.

Nearly 600 tickets have now been sold for our event on May 21, 2015 so if you haven't yet booked, please do so now to avoid disappointment.

1/12/14 All available gallery, buffet and bar tables of ten for Strictly Worcestershire 2015 are now sold out. Individual, couples and smaller group spaces still remain but are expected to sell out shortly. More details to follow. Many thanks for your support!

19/11/2014 A happy band of Strictly Worcestershire team members and contestants gathered at the Chateau Impney yesterday evening for a technical meeting - and to discuss frocks, tunes and special effects. Many thanks to everyone for coming along and sharing their enthusiasm. We know you'll put on a great show for the good people of Worcestershire!

19/11/2014 We can now reveal contestant couple number six competing for the Strictly Worcestershire Glitterball trophy 2015. Our truly scrumptious girl and director of Worcestershire's Angel Hands Childcare Ltd, Bekki Normoyle, with her noble and upstanding partner our very own supply development controller of the mighty Worcester Bosch Logistics Mr "AJ" himself - Adrian Harker.

17/11/2014 The Strictly Worcestershire team was delighted to meet fellow fund-raisers for the Worcestershire Breast Unit Campaign and the incredible surgeon Steven Thrush at the Charles Hastings Education Centre in Worcester on Saturday. Organiser Gerard Smith was accompanied by Kate Dodge from Project Events and Chris Green of Chris Green Media to receive our 'thank you' certificate. It was amazing to hear so many inspirational stories of fund raising throughout Worcestershire and we hope to meet many of the fund-raisers again in the future.

11/11/2014 Ladies and gentlemen, I'd like to introduce Strictly Worcestershire's stunning contestant-couple number five - the illustrious former chairman of the Worcestershire Ambassadors, Granville Orange, and the effervescent, dazzling and irrepressibly lovely Julie Worsfold. I'd like to welcome Granville and Julie to the competition and to the good people of Worcestershire to support us. You'll never see the like again. Nearly 400 tickets have been sold so don't dally!

05/11/2014 The project continues to build! It looks very much like all 8 contestant-couple spaces could be shortly filled. This is very exciting. Discussions are ongoing regrads the various sponsorship categories and ticket sales continue (will go on sale shortly also). Embrace Beauty Dignity of Worcester are benafctoring the show menus as per last year which is lovely of them. They have just celebrated their 1st Birthday as a brilliant essential business. Ladies fighting Breast Cancer also had a launch party with Lord Digby Jones to move into their new offices. Its all Gooooood!

28/10/2014 I am thrilled that some amazing companies have already come in alongside Sanctuary Group to act as project benefactors. Hewett recruitment, Anja Potze, Treat BEAUTY and the superlative Avant Garde Salons of Worcester. Fiona Weston of Treat is looking after the make up and manicures of the contestants on the big night, working alongside Ian and Naoimi's team of brilliant hairsylists ensuring the ladies (and gents??) go out on stage looking a million dollars. 19/10/2014 With Strictly Come Dancing on BBC hotting up, so is Strictly Worcestershire. Our first four fabulous contestant couples are all announced and in training. 2 more couples identities will be released shortly. Our third wonderful guest judge is also ready to be announced soon and she is a huge catch for the event. Thank you K! A special day tomorrow as we announce here and on facebook and twitter ( @Strictlyworcs) the third brilliant contestant-couple hoping to lift the Strictly Worcestershire 2015 glitter-ball trophy. Can't wait....!!

25/09/2014 So! The second couple for the great show are announced: Worcestershire mobile mechanics Sue and Dave Connellan. These are much loved and widely regarded people whos own huge charity work in Africa is a sounrce of enourmous pride to many around the region. Already hard at practice, Sue and Dave have their eyes on the prize. On their Facebook launch they recieved 35 likes and 1400 views in just 13/4 hours. Whos next? See you Monday!!
